On Saturday January 16 At 0005 Hours the C.I.F.D. was dispatched to a reported Structure fire on Wheeler Road across from the Central Islip High School. First arriving unit Engine 3 went on scene with light smoke showing. After a quick evacuation of the residents, the Engine crew advanced the hose line into the structure. At this time the Engine 3 Officer advised the Incident Commander of a bedroom fire on the first floor. Second due Engine, Engine 2 secured a water source to Engine 3.  The Hook and Ladder company preformed the vent on the number 3 side. Engine 1 acted as the fast team while Engine 8 and Rescue 6 were on stand by for a possible additional alarm. The fire was extinguished and all units returned to their respective stations.
