On Wednesday January 20, 2010 the East Brentwood Fire Department requested assistance from the Central Islip, Hauppauge and Brentwood fire departments for a working fire in a 2 story private dwelling on Treemont Avenue. The Brentwood F.D. supplied one Engine, The Hauppauge F.D. Supplied the F.A.S.T team and Central Islip supplied one Engine and a truck. The crews from C.I.F.D. opened up the roof and secured the utilities. With all four departments working together, the fire was extinguished without incident.
