June 1, 2010 - The Central Islip Fire Department was dispatched to a reported single vehicle accident at the intersections of Carleton Ave and Smith St. Arriving units confirmed a single car accident where the operator suffered a medical incident which caused him to loose control of his car and strike a hydrant before coming to a stop before hitting a building. FD was requested to secure the vehicle while CIHVA EMS crews secured the single patient for  transport to an area hospital for treatment.
